Mindfulness for self-Healing

The hassles of daily life can negatively affect our energy and attitudes. Which can result in an individual holding onto the bad and spreading it around as well. However, energy healing practices can work as a great cure for these types of blues and pessimism.

The one healing practice that I can swear by is Mindfulness

Mindfulness in Buddhism

Having found its roots in ancient Eastern cultures, Mindfulness has become a widespread practice, finding its way to western societies. The practice is a part of many religions but is also practiced in secular traditions.

In Buddhism, Mindfulness is a way of reaching enlightenment where Buddhists, among other things, utilize meditation to achieve a condition of pure consciousness. It enables personal alignment with a greater purpose in life.

Sati is the word used to describe mindfulness and awareness. It means;

“Moment To Moment Awareness Of Present Events”

In Buddhism, mindfulness is a part of your spiritual and psychological understanding where you use daily activities such as walking, eating, working as a method of being more present and aware of yourself and your surroundings.

Understanding Mindfulness

Mindfulness itself is defined as having awareness of your thoughts, feelings, body sensations, and surroundings through a kind, caring perspective. Acceptance is another aspect of mindfulness, which is paying attention to thoughts and feelings without criticizing them.

When we practice mindfulness, our thoughts focus on what we are feeling in the current moment rather than reliving the past or fantasizing about the future.

Mindfulness Benefits

The benefits of this practice are beyond comprehension. It helps improve our well-being by encouraging appreciation for our life, by helping us become involved with activities that promote positive feelings, and by allowing us to learn how to be more accepting of situations and solving them with patience.

Moreover, by relieving stress, treating heart diseases, decreasing blood pressure, reducing chronic pain, enhancing sleep hormones, and alleviating gastrointestinal difficulties; mindfulness has proven to improve our physical health as well.

Lastly, it improves your mental health. Mindfulness meditation has been used by mental health professionals to treat a variety of issues, including depression, substance addiction, eating disorders, and more.

Make It A Habit

Mindful practices can be made a part of daily life just by paying close attention to your breathing, your intense emotions, using your senses to become more conscious of your surroundings, tuning into your body through physical sensations, and understanding that any negative thought or emotion does not define you.

A little practice goes a long way.
